July 14th, 2001: KNIGHTS B beat KNIGHTS A by 8 wickets in a hard fought final of the Des Moines Tri-Series Tournament held at Weeks Middle School. At one stage KNIGHTS A were reeling at 55/6 when Dravid and the tail (which wagged quite a bit) dragged the score to 161/8 in 25 overs. Dravid top scored with 94* in a splendid display of hitting. KNIGHTS B started the reply by losing their first wicket with 5 on the board. Jon and Gau batted sensibly, and built a 124 run partnership for the second wicket and saw the team home. Gau was unbeaten at 62 while Jon scored 37. KNIGHTS B were clearly the underdogs, and the win proved that overconfidence usually leads to a sense of complacency and it could be anybody's game (sorry KNIGHTS A, had to take a dig at you) July 28th, 2001: The Nebraska Tri-Series is underway! The teams participating are the Nebraska Cricket Club, The Omaha Cricket Club and the Knights. The Knights won
both their league games by beating NCC and OCC. They are
through to the finals to be played on Saturday, August 4th, 2001.
